hey guys, im trying to find out what would be a good setup for street/strip drag racing. i have a h/c/i/e c6 z51 6sp manual. its making 500rwhp now and ill be adding a 150rwhp dry nitrous shot to it in the next few weeks. im getting alot of wheel hop with the nitto drag radials along with alot of tire spin... what is a good setup that will cure this that costs 1k or less... thanks in advance for all help..
Not sure you can cure this problem for $1000 or less. Some make special coil overs for drag racing but they will be more. QA1's may be under $1000 but not sure the shocks alone will solve all your problems unless you have other suspension upgrades. You may also need a stiff rear sway bar, trans brace & trans mount to name a few....
2 of my friends that drag race their C5's regularly have had good luck using QA1's to cure their wheel hop problems. Having the adjustability to soften up the rear shocks makes a big difference.
I have '04 Z06 shocks on my car, but I run 16" bias-ply slicks at the track and I don't have any problems with wheel hop, but do plan on getting a set of QA1's if I find a good deal on a used set.

So in general don't you want to stiffen rear and soften front?
