Default BlueC5Kitten's Diff is leaking again! :(

Well my g/f (BlueC5Kitten) is having the Diff leak again after having this repaired on Monday, we noticed a leak in her garage last night. She's out of town till Friday night so it goes back into the shop on Monday morning. It looks like it is again coming from the passenger side where the axle feeds into the Diff, the liquid on the garage floor was the same color as they had put in and even retained the grape scent, wonder if Zaino makes Diff Fluid?

Luckily it's only a drip so the car is driveable, hell we drove all the way from the Museum back to SA and apparent the problem first developed somewhere on the trip home because the car had a leak the first night it was in the garage. :(

Since they replaced the gasket and coupling I wonder if those new parts were defective or if the actual defective part in the diff casing itself??? Hmmmm, we find out on Monday.

This is a true bummer :mad

Nothing I hate :mad more than having to take something back to be fixed a second (hopefully not a third etc.) time.

Hope they get it right for her this time. :smash:

Well that sucks.

How bad is the leak?

It's not terribly bad but by the same token a leak is a leak and it needs to be fixed. She's not running out of fluid if that's what you mean though.

The same thing happened to us. When they repaired one side, it put enough stress on the other to cause a leak. We had it fixed & that was the end of it.
