LS6, FAST 90mm, 92mm, and 102mm, TPIS 90mm. If your car is a 97-00 and mostly stock the LS6 is your best choice if you ask me.

In my opinion an intake, throttle body and maf change will cost you a bunch (tune needed) for very little gain. Don't waste your money.

There are so many variables to the "best" way to performance mod a car. The best advice I have heard is to sit down and think through what you want to accomplish with the car. Awesome HP? Drag setup? autocross? Slightly faster than stock? How much money can you put into it? Do you enjoy the journey or just want to get it done as quickly as possible?

Clarity on this will help forum members share experiences and expertise that will be useful to your end goal.

My .02 good luck!

The LS6 will work with the stock TB. The FAST will take a 90mm LS2 TB or with the 102 a 90mm or 102mm TB.

An LS6 swap will cost you around $400. A FAST 90/92 swap will run around $800-$1000, and the 102 prob around $1400. Where are you getting the very little gain part from? You wont have to have a tune. The car will run fine with out a tune if you plan on doing more mods and then a tune.

Without a cam and heads, intake only nets you what 15hp? at $100 per HP gain if you do your own labor is a bit much in my opinion.

The LS6 is good for 10+RWHP over the LS1. At $400 its $40 per HP. Would the FAST 90, 92, or 102 be over kill on a stock LS1? Yes it would, but if you find one for a good price it will pay off in the end when you add more mods. I picked up over 20rwhp with my FAST 92 VS the stock LS6 manifold in my cam only car with stock 241 heads.

The OP never said what year his car is????

One of my friends is running a stock size LS6 intake and throttle body on a 1,000hp Turbo car, I think it will work just fine for you, save the money you would spend on a higher dollar intake and use it for something else

What year is your car? If it's 01 or newer it has an LS6 manifold, if you want a bigger Throttle Body you could send it to TPIS and have their 90mm snout conversion for $350

Look on LS1tech. They have an Intake manifold dyno comparison. I like my 102 plus it looks good. My car is a 97.
