Default Dash lights flash when I insert key

Moved my battery to trunk using pos #OO wire (about 14') and Neg # 2 wire to the original leads and most of the time it works, then sometimes it just flashes the dash and running lights when I insert the key, and it will click but not start. If i retry by letting the car sit for 20 secs and turn the key back on sometimes it will start but i might have to do it 3 or 4 times. The battery is fully charged and i even tried a bigger fully charged battery. I cleaned and scraped all the connections and used soldered ends on all the wires. When it is running it shows 14 volts charging and 13 volts with just the key on.

Any suggestions?

Could be your ignition switch. My car acted very similarly. I pulled the switch, and the contacts were badly carbonized.

cleaned, reassembled, reinstalled ... problems gone Never saw a single code come up

If you can't clear them yet they don't come back as a "C" or "Current" code, then something is happening briefly and going away. It could still be the ignition switch but this is new too me seeing those codes with an ignition switch issue. Any evidence of water in or around the BCM?

- C5 ignition Switch repair - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...ch-repair.html

Check in Hot and Run & Start voltage on the BCM fuses and see if it is LOW when the issue happens.

The key switch contacts were bad. The same two contacts that were in the article. followed procedure and better than new.
