Default Need some help with HVAC blower

Been searching a bit and haven't quite found the info I need, so any help is appreciated.

The subject- '03 Z with digital 2 zone A/C

The scenario- just bought this baby, and the weather has been outstanding, so I'm not sure if this was previously existing or not. First fix I did was repair the LED cold solder joints. Think I did a pretty good job so I don't feel that could cause this issue, or if it would even be possible to have inadvertantly bridged any related circuit.

Now, no blower at any setting, but get cold air "trickle" through their proper vents. I can hear the gates open & close.

Pulled, checked & cleaned fuses, all OK. Pulled blower fan and found no mouse (was really hoping that would have been it).

Disconnected connection to control module and put a meter on it. Constant 12v between the red & black wires, nothing at the third wire at any setting (looks yellow).

Reattached and checked voltage at the connector out to the blower and nothing at all.

Looks like the module is bad, but wanted to be sure about the no power at the third wire before throwing a part at it. Especially since I'm a big guy and my contortionist abilities are limited.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Heres the schematic that you will need to troubleshoot your issue:

Thanks for that. It would definitely help, if I could read schematics.

You should have B+ between red (B) and Blk (A) at the BMCP. The Tan wire (c) should be a ground or some resistance if the HVAC Control module is set to high for the fan.

Ok, here's where I'm at... blower checked out fine. Reinstalled. Ran ground from case to bolt in dash support. Always runs. soooo 2 questions.

1. Where is a good place on the blower or pigtails to run a ground wire so it will only come on when I need.

2. What is the correct part # for the control module. I've seen in many posts people getting the wrong module. I really don't want to get back under there more than absolutely necessary, my curse jar is filled beyond overflowing!

I'm confused. Why do you want to run a ground wire, if you have a bad control module? For the part number, all you do is call your dealer with a VIN, and they can look up the correct p/n.

Temporary fix until the part is in.

Got the part # from the stealership, 89019166. By the way, who wants $345.00 for it. XReference the # at Autozone, comes up as resistor, not module. $136.00.

Moot point anyway. I can't possibly compress myself any further to get to the 2 screws on the forward side of the module. I'll have to have the local auto AC guy do it. My back is killing me.

Make sure you get the right one......as you might find the one at autozone is for a manual, not auto A/C...
