It doesn't work. Which fuse is for it? Likely its just the bulb, what type do I need and does that cover come off easy without bracking? Sure could have used that light when I needed to change my battery in the dark today.
The little plastic cover comes off. You simply need to squeeze it a little and it will pull off. Jiggle the bulb..........it may just be loose. Better yet, hook a tester light to it and see if you're getting power to the bulb. If you are, you have a bad bulb, if not, you have a blown fuse.
Check to see if the blue connector is connected. My dealer always removes this when working on the car so that the light doesn't stay on. The blue connector is locataed at the front passenger side of the car. You will see a wire with the blue connectors in the middle of no where on top of/next to the radiator shroud. Hope this helps if this is the problem.
It's not necessary to disconnect. The computer monitors that circuit and turns the light off after 5 minutes. Maybe your dealer thought he was working on a Cavalier ?? :D
Hehe, good point AZ99FRC. Of course when the battery is out it won't work, But I mean it would have heled to see things while it was conectect, and while tightning the posts on the new one and such. Have a flash light for the time inbetween.
