Default Rear 02's in the front?

I had thought i read something one time about the rears having a stronger heater and are better suited for use in longtubes? Can you use them in the front locations? Possible adapter required or at least de-pin the original connector?

That is preferred. Move the rears to the front locations(left to left, right to right) and plug the rear locations. Use adapters, as the connectors are different. LG sells the adapters.

Lucky hit it right on the nose. That's what I did with my LGs and I've never had a problem.

why can't you just de-pin & swap the connectors instead of spending money on adapter plugs?
when i swapped engines in my truck, the guys that built my harness accidentally did 2 fronts on the left side & 2 rears on the right side, so i asked them about it & they told me to just swap the connectors around & it'd be fine. that was november 09 & i still don't have any problems

I ran LG's for almost two weeks and as I recall the adapters also were required due to the length needed to reach the harness since the O2 sensors were at an angle facing the opposite direction from the harness.

Because of the length of the harnesses.

And then im assuming something will need to be updated in the tune if there is nothing plugged into the rear harness? I am still chasing some running rich problems and I think I may have some lazy 02 sensors and mida's well do this now to see if it will help.

Nothing that I am aware of? My setup has been like this since before I purchased the car 4 years ago...

The harness is not long enough, thats the reason for moving the rear o2s to the front(the longer harness). Lg supples an adaptor so ends of the longer harness plugs into the frt conectors. If you don't turn off the rears you will get a code, they seem to be to far back to work properly.

Will it work ok if I put a wideband in place of one of the rear o2's?
Will the wideband guage read ok?
I'm not running cats and the rear o2's are turn off.

Thanks
