Hmmm...been making a list of parts that should be replaced on an 11 yr car.....radiator hoses, brake fluid, etc......hadnt thought about a fuel filter....

any local parts house that carries WIX filters. retail price for the GM filter is super expensive. The wix was less than 20 for the exact same thing.

Why pay a big mark-up just for the GM name on it? Chances are Wix, or another major brand filter supplier, make them for GM.

I guess I just don't see why everyone gets their panties in a bunch, over the filter price. I remember when you changed the fuel filter every year. Reality, how often do you have to change the filter on a C5.....every 5 years.....maybe? (there is no time change interval by the manual).
Even at $70 , that's only $14 per year........big deal.

Depends on when the car was made. FFS started in production November of 2002.
