B&B exhaust problem?

Have you heard of or ever tried a product called FLITZ, metal, plastic,
& fiberglass polish & paint restorer?
It's the best that I've come accross. You will love it!
I've been using it for several years now.
It works great on our exhuast tips. Especially the BB Bullet Quad 4" tips
Also works for removal of heat discoloration.
I use to be able to get it by the tube from Murrays/O'riellys but
I found that it is best to get a 2 lb can of it off the auction site.(Less $ then by the tube)
I dip it out of the can into a small ,squeeze squirt bottle to use it on the exhaust
tips, wheels, mufflers etc. (It is a soft paste)

Nope that's the first i've heard of the product.
I went up this weekend to try some polishing and a small area but nothing came out as I tried everything by hand since I couldn't get a buffer. I tried using a small amount of #0000 steel wool and glass cleaner on a small spot as well and didn't do anything. I looked under the car as well to see if any of the exhaust was bent or crushed but everything looked good. If it was the tune then I should have seen the bluing effect soon after having it done but like I said previous it didn't start until this past year. The only thing I haven't had time to do is see if there is anything up in the exhaust but I doubt that it could be this since the car is at least started once a week. I'll probably give that guy a call this week that posted in here from B&B and see what other things can be done.

So I personally have the B&B exhaust as well. First of all from personal experience B&B has very bad reputation for theri customer service. I got the exhaust because I know some guys in town with it and it sounds better than any Corvette I have ever heard. That being said, we have all had problems with the welds being bad, my exhaust hangers broke off, and B&B wouldn't replace or repair any of our exhausts. SECONDLY to answer your question is that normal? YES all of our B&B exhausts look like crap. It is the way they make the steel pipes but it doesn't cause any problems and who cares? nobody can see it, the tips stay nice and polished looking. Also B&B has the worst carbon build up that gets all over the rear bumper that I have ever seen.

Ok got the exhaust back from B&B. The exhaust looks great almost brand new. I'm very happy with the results. Thank You Mike and the guys at Billy Boat for making my exhaust look like new.

Have had B&B's on my DD through winter with saleen crap on the roads and road spray etc. for 4 years/25k miles. They clean right up and look excellent, beautiful polished finish from the axle back!!!!!
