I am about to put my drivetrain back together after having new torque tube couplers installed and balanced. I am looking at the rear end of the shaft and I see a groove about 2" in diameter that looks like it should hold a snapring to secure the bearing. Can anyone show me a pic of the rear end of their TT? PLEASE....
Check out these two post. Its everything you ever wanted to kno about a rearend and how to make it better!!! YES, there should be a small metal ring in the Splined shafts. That what secure it in the CV Housing. Before you reinstall it, use a light and mirror and look in the CV Housing opening and see if it popped off.
