FOUND PROBLEM, the source of the noise (humming/rubbing) was the inside of my rotors rubbing against the lower control arm.
QUESTION: Could bad hubs be the cause of this ? Or ?. I need to decide if I should still change the Hubs ?"
I was getting ready to change my Hubs when I noticed this.
Can't say I've ever seen that. What's the history here? When were those rotors installed? If you just install the rotor(with lugs) how does it track when rotated?
The existing rotors replaced the exact same ones 6 months ago. In the picture of the rotor that is the only place that is rubbing. The noise started only a few weeks ago.
HOLY CRAP!!!! Bolt the brake rotor on the hub and see if you can deflect it by grabbing it at the top and bottom and appling force. Then try it side to side. The HUB should NOT have any deflection to speak of. That NOT something that I have ever seen. NOT GOOD!!!
When my 65 gto was 4 years old I had a vibration I chased for months. It turned out to be the front inside wheel bearing race had spun in the hub. When taken apart it appeared to be tight. When I did a complete parts exchange on a brake job is when it finally showed up.
