IF I would go ith the one with the link-bar, could I then remove the stock plastic holders for the lifters? Any pro or cons for that?
What is the actual difference between these two set of lifters and which one to go for?
got morels in mine. link bar, great quality, no noise. Well minimal noise. What I would call "normal cammed with headers noise." Heard some things about Comp R lifters, but after a friend lost his motor to turning one and losing the needles, I'm glad I got the morels. Can't say too much, just I'm happy with them. IMO either ones would be a good choice, link bar would prevent the described catastrophe though.

I am running Morels as well, but unsure of the part number. They are much better quality then anything else available. Two things to note, first they are taller then stock and require a different preload (0.030"-0.050") so that pushrod length will be shorter then if equivalent GM lifters are used. Don't pre-buy your pushrods, make a final measurement once the motor is assembled and then order pushrods.

When I replaced my Caddy Racing lifters with the link-bars, I needed pushrods that were about .050 shorter. That being said, it's ALWAYS best to measure. Measure both intake and exhaust.
