Default looking for budget friendly advice...

Alright,

So I'm starting to think about modding my car and adding more power, nothing crazy though, as I'm only looking to hit somewhere between 425-500rwhp (if possible) NA. Don't want to use nitrous, so that's not an option either.

I'm looking for some advice on ways to hit somewhere in that goal, as in what parts that I should/could look for used and what I should buy new, as well as what some proven combos are.

TIA

I'm not sure yet exactly, that's kind of why I'm wanting to get an idea of prices for parts. Ideally though, I'd like to not to have to spend more than $2,500-$3,500 if possible (that's factoring in if I can find anything used that's in good shape)

Just click on down. Tons of info on exact set ups, dyno results, 1/4 miles times, etc.

Going to be hard to get 425+RWHP for $3,500.....cheapest route to that much power (other than the bottle) would be a blower and that will cost $5,000+ if you do the install yourself.....

425 to 450Hp at the wheels is a good bit of power. Don't know if you have an A4 or an M6 as that is a factor, the auto gobbles up more power. Generally you will need heads/ cam/headers to get that much power or possible a cam and headers if you have an M6. For your budget, I would start with headers, Vararam intake and a tune. if you do your own wrenching you may be able to get a cam also but will be at your upper limit as cam requires performance valve springs. The performance section tells you what setups achieved what 1/4 time. in my book the 1/4 mile is more important than the dyno numbers.
