Brake lights not working

Brake lights not working
Need advice on how to repair brake lights w/o having dealer charge me $500.+ for changing a switch. Has anyone had this happen with their 2002?

You have isolated the problem to the stop lamp switch?

Ummm before you start doing that take the passenger side floor panel out and see if you have a blown fuse.

Is the MFS the same as the Hazard Flasher? Just had shop confirm it needs replacing and I hope to do it myself and save $500+

Thank you for your advice. It looks like I can get to the flasher throuh the radio and save the money.

I used the step by step process and replaced the flasher switch which fixed the tail lights. Thanks to all who offered advice.
