If, by "stiffeners" you mean "Fangs" from SacCityCorvette,then I've had them (black ones) for about 4 months,and they do what they're supposed to do,and aren't visible at all,unless you lay under the front of the car to check them out.
If they rub the ground,they rub smoothly and noiselessly-concrete scuffs them up a little,but that's what they're there for.
