Default Front window seal replacement.

Has anyone ever got a glass replacement company to replace their front window seals? And if so how much was it? Mine is worn and starting to come out as you can see in the picture. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If your window is pitted so badly you can't see out of it or cracked, your insurance will probably cover it, depending on the company of course and the window place will replace that seal at the same time. It is in fact, a very expensive seal.

I was afraid it was gonna be a costly seal. The window is in perfect condition no blemishes or pitting. Just the seal is coming up. It doesnt leak anywhere or whatnot. It's mainly an Eye Sore

The seal is part of the front cover. I don't think it is sold seperately.

The front cover is around $75 bucks.

I think what you need; is to replace the plastic cover over the winshield wiper motor.

Too me, it looks like the windshield seal itself and yes, it is expensive. Stop by any glass repair place and ask them.

MAN,, thats just the windshield COWL seal. Its EASY to replace. Un bolt and Pop off the wiper arms, remove the six plastic snap clips and pull the cowl cover up:

The seal is part of that plastic cowl cover. When its OFF, you have some maintenance to accomplish:

Clean out the drain udders uder the wiper motor!

I'm having this same issue so I'm glad I found this thread.

Just want to make sure I'm reading this right. The cowl and the seal are all one part? Or do I need to buy the lower seal as well?

Also any idea if this would be making water leak into my passenger compartment? My guess is yes.

The real answer is NO! Your either not draining the COWL water out thru the COWL Drains OR the HVAC condensate drain is plugged.

Well I know it's not the HVAC drain, and just cleaned out all the udders. Looks like I'll be taking it apart and finding out what it is this weekend Also thinking it may be the lower window seal. Which I may also buy just in case since it's $20. Now I don't need that just for replacing the ripping part of the cowl do I?
