I'm am definitely glad to hear everything is okay. There has been some monsoon like downpours here in Southern Ohio, so I feel for you. I am definitely going the Donaldson Blackwing route just to avoid the chance of hydrolock. :yesnod: Even if insurance will cover the damage...it is not worth the hassel and aggrevation.

Everything is fine (thank you G_D!!) I drove it all day today, hooked up the Autotap and everything is normal. No water in the oil. I didn't expect there would be. I believe all that happened was that the water simply choked the intake and thats why it died, not because of actual water ingestion.

Two things saved my butt on this one. One, the front end of the car went in and back out of the "river flow" before it died and two, I made it a point to first let it drip for couple of minutes before starting it and then when I did start it, I didn't rev it up. Doing so would have opened the throttle plates and let water on up into the intake. I let it idle to help clear it out. If it had died while the breather was still in the water, I would no way have attempted to start it until I got it pushed up out of the water. I now know where not to go in Webb City Missouri during a torrential downpour!
