Need advice on fuel pump setup

The shop installing the motor recommended a Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump, because I am planning on adding nitrous down the line. My question is on a NA setup should the pump be setup with the pressure sensor, or should it be wired to be on all the time. The shop (now out of business, while I am trying to get the car tuned) set it up with a vacuum/pressure sensor. My understanding is that the boost-a-pump's sensor was for supercharged/turbocharged applications, and the sensor will not turn on the pump until it sees boost. I have a dyno appointment, and I want to sort this out before I need to take it in.
Thanks
