I had this problem. Has to do with the vent control getting stuck or something... the fix was to disconnect the battery, wait 15 seconds, reconnect. I had to do it 3 times but eventually, with the power disconnected, the system resets itself. Of course if the control arm on the vent is broken this method won't work. Worth a try at least before you tear the dash appart. Also, use the search on the forum. There is a detailed fix is this doesn't work for you.
