Default Spring Install height

I have Dart Pro1 heads with ferrea valves. 4.9 int/4.915 ext,918 springs, comp cam cups (.060) steel retainer and locks. Install height was only 1.7. I had a pair of ProComp head and installed this setup on them and had 1.69. Why am i not getting 1.8 as recommended. i cant understand why i am getting the same spring height on two different heads. should i be using different retainers, keepers or what. Thanks

Both head were machined to certain specifications so those measurements should be the same.

Yes. You'll need to change something to get the height correct.

Do you have the original Rev valves that came with the heads? Make some comparative measurements. My Darts set up around 1.750" as I recall but would need to pull my notes. At that height, do you clear the lift?
