Default Squeak in clutch

I have a 99 FRC with 48 k miles. The car is bolt on seen several trips down the track with the textralia 0z700 clutch and flywheel. The last few weeks I ve noticed a sqeak when downshifting gears right as the clutch engages and then its gone, the squeak last longer if I slowly let the clutch engage but seems to bite just fine if I to a fast release with no sqeak, any ideas?

Sounds like its glazed on the mating surfaces of the disc, psi plate & flywheel. I had a Monster Level 3 that was doing the same thing AND on up shifts. I switched it out to a Level 3 that Monster warrantied for me.

man I hope not, that is the last thing I need right now, it seems to hold the power when I get in it, so I will see next track outing

Its not a problem so much as it is annoying. You can temporarily de glaze it by doing some higher rpm clutch releases.... but the sound will probably return. Do some research on it and you can even google it to find some videos to see of yours sounds the same.

had the same problem, a few years ago, in my case it was a bad pilot bearing, took me 6 month to figure it out.

Try to slip the clutch less when taking off, as that is what builds up the glaze
