Ok. It's magna steer.. I've found the two pin plug and it's been plugged in the whole time.. Yes the res is full. I pulled the pump and spun it back and forth trying to get it to move fluid and I got nothing... Kept messing with it and pouring fluid in it and now it shoots fluid when I spin it by hand.. Should I put it back on and hope for the best or should I be chasing down the magna steer wires to see if there is a break somewhere.. Or I guess the real question is .. If there was a short or break in the magna steer wires would it cause my problem?
codes from magnasteer??? i dont have any check engine lights on if thats what your talking about... still havent answerd the question, would magnasteer cause this problem?
Magna steer shouldn't cause a no p/s assist issue, You would have lack of assist but some assist. Take a screw driver and pry on the p/s pump pulley a little, the pulley should not slid out. This ensures that the shaft is not broken internally. (common on gm trucks)
