ok just put in my second ls3 in this car..(bad block on the first one) everything is running good except .. ive got no power steering.. ive jacked it up and turned the wheel back and forth slowly and quickly a million and a half times... seriously ive got the blisters to prove it.. ive even jack just one side of the car up thinking that a level differance would help... i have seen a crazy amount of air bubbles come out of the resivor but the level does not seem to drop. and i still dont have power steering... i dont have any typical power steering squeel or grind .. every thing runs smooth but there seems to be no circulation going on in the resivor while the car is ideling.. somebody please .. has any one had this prob.. and whats the answer..
Sure sounds like air trapped in there and if you are still getting bubbles, then most likely it does. Unfortunately, I'm not a steering expert. Since you are running an LS3 in there, are you running the LS3 steering pump too or the LS1/6? Just a dumb thought here....does the serpentine belt run the pump the same direction as needed for the pump being used?
any one know a quick way to get the air out of the power steering system.. driving it doesnt work.. and turning the steering wheel back and forth a gagillion times is giving me one heck of a work out but still hasnt done the trick
im assuming that the magnasteer is the one that has the electrical plug in on it... mine doesnt.. didnt remove anything.. its straight forward rack and pinion

Ok, to the best of my knowledge.....ALL C5's came with magnasteer. Now.....if your car has been set up for road racing, I know there are custom setups out there(but those are typically no power steering at all). If your car has a stock power steering system, then it has magnasteer.....and the two pin connector.
there's not much to the system, I had a problem when i installed a rebuilt pump and the plastic inlet cover was painted black and was left on when I installed pump so it was blocked. DOH
Otherwise its my understanding that it will bleed out any air. Fittings are sized to only go on one way as well.
ok soo ive tried bleeding air out of the rack via the two fittings on the top,, i keep getting air out and every time i turn the wheel air bubbles up in the resivor,, but still doesnt work.. ive spent hours turning the wheel.. alose there seems to be a dead spot in the middel when i turn the wheel

You never did address the magnasteer issue. Do you have a custom rack in your car?

All C5 and C6 Corvettes come with a MagnaSteer PS Rack. If you have a rack in the car without magnasteer that would be highly unusual. Even replacement racks from an autoparts store will have it.
You have said you have bubbles every time you try and bleed. Is your res. full? Where else can you induce air into the system? Loose lines should leak out, not air in?
