Default Plastic liner difference, missing part?

I noticed the left and right plastic liners behind the front wheels are different on my car. Is something missing or should the drivers side have an open end towards the engine?

If something is missing, is that part available separately?

Some pics, sorry for the bad quality.

From the OP's first post: "Is something missing or should the drivers side have an open end towards the engine?"

Why make a comment, if you don't know for certain? Reading your post, I got the impression, that you actually knew for sure, not just commenting from "memory".

"Yes they should be the same. The piece is missing, you have to buy the entire piece. Your section that is missing is stapled on from the factory and its a wonder how they stay on as long as they do, a real piece of junk. "

Quite a bit more. Cheers buddy! My car is ok then, one less thing to worry about. Case closed.

My experience is that it happens quite a lot here, unforunately.

Fwiw I can tell you it's supposed to be on the passengers side for sure, but not on the drivers side I guess based on the replies above

Sorry about that, I remember I had to fix some of those stapled together pcs thru out the front end. Like I said before I am always big enough to apologize when I am wrong, so sorry if it was an inconvenience to anyone........
