DTC P0440 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System is the code the car throws every once in a while.


New gas cap? Input appreciated!

Give the cap a wash in some HOT SOAPY water and then apply some silicone dielectric greaee to the O ring and see if the issue goes away!!

That would certainly be the easiest and cheapest thing to try Kent.

Thanks Guys,,,,I'll try that,,,,seems like the code is thrown several dozen miles after a fill up. I reset it and it is several dozen miles before the code is thrown again.
