ok so here is whats going on..... I am putting a forged ls2 in my 00 for forced induction. I purchased new 1 7/8 kooks race headers no cats and put the headers in when putting the engine in. Well here is where the problem is .... the drivers side header is close the the tunnel and the passenger side isnt which sounds to me that there is something cocked. I bolted up the 1st part of the midpipe to the headers and the back end of the pipe is up against the tunnel wall. I dont understand what would cause this or if anyone else has had this problem. I mean the engine bolts in 1 way and really has no play or adjustment in mounting as there are dowel pins that go into the cradle and such. besides that the engine went in fine as well as bolted up to the torque tube fine. so why are the headers and midpipe cocked to 1 side of the tunnel plate?? I need help fast so i can get this car back together!!!

I believe you may need to jack the engine up a bit to get kooks in.
How thick of t/plate are you using?
Is there a 1/4" difference from one collector to the other, from @ the bottom of the collectors to the top of the t/plate ?
I had my system off a couple of weeks ago & noticed one collector was hanging a tad lower than the other.
(Long tube 1 3/4", LG Pro's, w/3"X pipe.)
I suggest, getting ahold of Kook's & explaining the problem that you are having w/ the improper fitment to the new motor.

its more like the moter is sitting in the engine bay a lil sideways to make all the exhaust head to 1 side of the tunnel plate and basically halfway thru the midpipe ... basically right at the back of the x pipe it is already against the side of the tunnel so there is no way to even run the rest of the slip on midpipe And there is no way the motor can be in a lil sideways as there are dowel pins in the cradle as well as the motor mounts so it has to go on a exact way so i am totally stumped and so are a few people on here that i have talked to.
