Either! I believe the yellow just has more amp's and cranking power.Red should be fine and cost a little less. Just my opinion!

Yellow is a deep cycle. Designed to be depleted and recharged more often w/o killing a cell. Primarily used for boats, etc. Either one will work though. But the red should do just fine...

Go with Red top designed for Automobiles. More cranking amps. Yellow top is deep cycle marine battery. Will also work with cars.

Daily driver: Optima Red Top
Weekend driver or less: Yellow top

My '99 normally gets driven a couple times per week but sometimes even sits for 2 weeks without starting. I have the yellow top for almost 3 years now. Never had a problem.

Hope this helps

Roger
