Mine had a squeal and it was the serpentine belt. Spray belt conditioner on the belt to track down the squeal. If it quiets down the noise was coming from the belt. You can then replace the serpentine belt.
My boss's car had a similar sympton: Squealing when cold, then goes away when warm. The problem was a pinhole in a coolant hose. The coolant would jet just a tiny bit out onto the belts, wetting them and causing them to slip and squeal. Apparently, when the engine was warm enough, the hose expanded and sealed the pinhole.
