I have installed a 160 degree thermostat in my C5 LS1. The car runs fine and as long as I am driving the gauge stays between 160 to 170.
However when I stop or I am parked with the motor running the temp will go as high as 230 or 240 then the fan comes on. MY QUESTION IS:
Is there a FAN SENSOR that tells the fan when to kick on. If so I need one with a lower temp switch to kick on the fan. THANKS, Golfdude49
you can buy an inexpensive fan controller i bought a derale for 26 dollars from jegs with adjustable temp settings. it is only a two wire hook up. it will turn the fans on at any temp you would like and it turns the fans off after a 10 degree drop in temp...........

So you just bypassed the factory circuit from the PCM?
