Default Air Filter

I have a Vararm B2 with the K&N 33-2522 filter mod. I have a buddy whom is telling me that a Filtrete Filter (the ones used in A/C Cooling ducts vents) would be better than my K&N. I disagree, but he's been running one in his car for a few months now with no problems. Has anyone other than him tried this?

These are the filters he use:

I thought it was a Filterete, but it's made by WEB.

Any advantages or disadvantages over the K&N?

I use a HEPA filter to my Vortech. I don't know if it flows more, but I feel better, knowing my supercharger will be protected from allergens...and possible infection.

I'm going to say that this is not a good idea...but I have no scientific data to support my opinion.

Well he doesn't have to worry about over oiling his ac filter like you do with your k&n! I would be worried about what happens when that ac filter gets wet! How many does he use at a time?

You should take his ac filter to autozone or some where that has one of those k&n displays (showing how well it flows air over the paper filters) and see how it compares! lol
