Default 2011 C5 break in driving

I had the pleasure of touring the facility of Reher / Morrison racing engines today. They had a c5 crate motor on the Dyno reving it to 7000RPM. What about a break in period I ask. He said drive it like you stole it. This gives you the best seating of your rings on the cylinder walls for max HP later. Change 1st oil at 100 miles, 200 and 500 miles. These guys look like they know what they are talking about. Anybody want to dispute this I,m listening

Go take a tour of the Bowling Green facility, and see what they do immediately after assembly....to every corvette.

The C5/C6 break in period is geared more toward the DRIVE TRAIN COMPONENTS more than the engine.

The rear-end and tranny gear surfaces need to seat and season (heat cycle) properly to prevent abnormal wear and gear surface damage.

Ive done engine break in both ways. Beat them and baby them. Doesn't seem to matter. I know for a fact, if you beat on a new rear without breaking it in properly, it will NOT be happy! See what it sounds like within 500 miles!
