Default Windshield wiper sizes

What size wipers should I pick up from autozone? Searched threads come up with different advice. 19" on driver and 20" on pass or 20" on both...It's a 2004 z06.

Thanks!

Seriously?!

I'm pretty sure even the kid at the counter at Autozone could answer that, and if all else fails, just measure what you have.

It's not rocket science.

Best post ever.

Didn't think I had to mention that it does not have stock blades on there and they aren't the right size.

And I just don't trust the kid at the counter at autozone. He tends to mess things up no matter how easy...

NAPA Exact Fit, WIP 600221 $9.99 each

They also sell the refills for this blade Exact-fit refills WIP 600221 for around $4.00 each

Trico is the manufacturer and they should be the exact replacement that came with the car.

The Trico's at Advance are fine, but they changed to a different design of the metal blade holder.

Sometime searching your owners manual first, will provide the answer. I'll give you a hint...look under "Normal Maintenance Replacement Parts".

This is a tough crowd. Ok I'll spell out all the additional details:

1. JUST bought a 04 z06. 2 days ago.
2. Has carbon fiber dual-blade ghetto bling 16" wipers. They don't wipe.
3. Two owners manuals from two different vettes but not one for this generation of vette. Going to trade for the right one but yes, I definitely thought to look there.
4. As I stated above...searches came up with a number of different results that didn't sound right.

Now, If I really did miss something obvious, please continue to point it out to me.

i ain't trying to sound like a douche, but there's a big ol' friggin catalog in the wiper aisle that lists what size & part # wipers to use on just about every make/model vehicle.

it works the same as the oil/air filter books a couple aisles over

and i know they're much more expensive, but i've been running the same set of Bosch ICON wipers on my truck since December 09 & they're still fantastic. just this morning on my way into work, they wiped just as clean as when i first bought them. i'm definitely getting a set for the car when they need to be replaced

go to walmart, find automotive department, find wiper section, use book or digital chart to look up sizes, pick out a pair of wipers, pay for wipers, go out and put them on vehicle.

I don't know what the deal is in here. You guys have owned your vettes forever. I just bought a corvette 2 days ago. I am a former Ford owner. There are certain tidbits of information handy to know that you don't get out of that damn book at Autozone.

Would you go to Autozone and buy an alternator blind? You'd end up with a crappy re manufactured unit. I'm sure someone on here has found brand new alternators from a reputable dealer and the advice you'd read on here just saved your bacon. That's the beauty of a (helpful) car forum...

It was just an easy question. I expected a post or two about "this brand fits the best and works well". Didn't expect everybody to take time out of their day to challenge my reading comprehension or trust issues with minimum wage employees at Autozone.

wipers are made by brand name companies and are the same no matter where you get them.

i assume your other vehicles had wipers so you must know how to look up sizes for replacements.

after all what did you expect asking this in a tech section?

I've had wipers scratch hoods and not work right. I've seen them lift off the car at high speeds. I expected the HELPFUL posts by dbaker, MAC5 and JoePellacore. The rest is pointless banter. The question was answered 10 posts ago...unsubscribing.

It is apparent that you are a NEWBY and on your 3rd post you ask a question that could have been answered at any auto supply store.

It is understood that you JUST brought the car, and it came with ghetto wipers, but did you take the time to learn about what you are buying.

Yes, we may seem tough, but everyone is on this forum to help others. Usually there are no dumb or silly posts, even most of those are answered .

But it does IRK some when common sense posts are made by posters who state that they have owned a lot of cars. Like, where's the jack-spare tire, why can't I put my horse in the back seat, how do I fold the back seat up so I can put four people in the Vette, gas guage is all the way to the left and a light is on-what does that mean?

Anyway, welcome to the forum And enjoy the car......
