Default Tire size help!

Im planning to switch tyres on my corvette c5 cabriolet-98. It has z06 wheels on right now. Im looking on these combo of tyres. do anyone see a problem with this? For example traction, abs or the speed index?

front 255/30-18 z speed index
rear 295/30-18 y speed index.

Help much appreciated

255/30-18 = 24 inch tall
295/30-18 = 25.2 inch tall

I don't think you will have problems with abs or tc but you will scrape on speed bumps and uneven drive ways for sure.

Yes, underneath. Your car will be lower after you put those shorter tires on assuming your going from stock zo6 size tires. What are the current size tires you have on your car now?

265/35-18 = 25.3
295/35-18 = 26.1

That will bring your car 1/2 inch lower to the ground but if you don't have any issues with scraping with your current setup you can probably get away with the new one. Also consider that with the shorter tires and riding at stock height your car will have a little more of the 4x4 look.

Will there be a problem with fitting the front tyre on the rim? I mean is the z06 to wide?

Tire RIM

255/30 - 18 8.5-10"

295/30 - 18 10-11"
Ok, how do I find out what width my rims have? Probably would be the same on rear and front?

It will say on the inside of each rim. Might have to pull one front and one rear to know for sure.
