Is there any clearance issues with installing the Lingenfelter mini tub on a C5 Corvette with coilover shocks?
On their webpage for the mini tubs LPE mentions something about relocating the shock mounts.
While I do need the traction that tubbing the car could help with I am not wanting to mess with it if it is going to be a big hassle.
Hopefully somebody else already has experience with this.
I mini tubbed my 02 coupe with the LPE kit. I don't see were there would be any problems converting to coil overs. The LPE kit does not relocate the shocks it just limits their travel. When I did mine I did not install the shock limiters and have experienced no problems at all.
The coilovers work great with the mini tub. You don't have to use any of the shock limiters or relocaters with the coilovers. With regular shocks my car never seem to set exactly right after the mini tub but after I put the coilovers on I am a happy camper. Go for it.
Thanks for the information, I will see if I can get the mini tubs installed and strap on some much needed bigger tires.
While testing the car out today I had the tires break loose at around 85 mph. I may have peed a little.
