Doug Rippie Mototsports has performed a befiore and after dyno with a TPIS ported throttle body. That mod gained 8 rwhp. Like many, DRM was suspect of TPIS' claim but at Myron Cottrell's urging, they tried it. I am local to both DRM and TPIS, and will buy one from TPIS this week. I plan on adding a Blackwing and Z06 Intake as well. Then I'm having my car dyno'd. Will try to post results.

I have one coming from Mark and I believe it will bear good numbers. I'll let everyone know.

Are you referring to Mark Shaner? I've exchanged email with him this week. Someone did a dyno on a Z06 (I think) with his first C5 PTB. It didn't produce any net gains, but it will take a little tinkering to get it right.

Not a major gain, but worth the $100-150. Katech sells a good one too.

Yes, from Mark Shaner. The dyno I saw showed great gains under the curve, exactly where I want them. The most impressive gains I've seen from this type of mod.

BTW, Mark Shaner gets great reviews from the F-body guys....and they are very hard to impress.

That's exactly why I contacted him. And for now, he's only charging $129 (plus return of core). The F-body and C5 throttle bodies are identical except the C5 includes an electric motor. TPIS explained to me how they got the gain. I will ask them again, and post their info.
