Default Tires for 98 Corvette

I need to replace the original stock tires on my 1998 Corvette. I am looking for recommendations on what I should replace the originals with. The car is only driven in the summer in MN.

WOW! Stand by for 600 different opinions! Ive run several different tires on my 98 MN6 coupe, 02 ZO6, and 06 Coupe. The WORST was the Prellie P Zero's that came with my CCW 505A rims.

The absolute best in my opinion, was the TOYO Proxies T1R's There friggen excellent in the summer and the best tires that I have used in the colder months here in CT (when I drive the car if the streets are clear) They flat perform! I have them on the 06 and my 02 Z

There NON Run-flats as I do not like the performance of a run flat. Anyway,, I really like the performance, grip, quietness, cold weather performance, and wear rating of the tire. Made a day and night difference in the way the cars handled, drove and the interior noise level was significantly reduced!!!

Heres a picture of the tire on my 02 Z:

Have a 98 vert. GY EMTs with a few thousand miles on them made the C5 a skate with 1/4" of snow on a flat level 6 lane highway. When shot replaced them with Michelin PS A/S ZPs. Complete difference in ride, noise, and handling. They are rated for snow and are better than the GYs but not snow tires. If you ever want to run your car in the winter don't put summer only tires in it. Got mine at DTD and had them roadforce balanced locally. Surprisingly a GM dealer was the cheapest.
Michelin has changed the PS tires slightly but I believe they are still great tires.

I'm using Coopers. They are the only tires made in America by an American-owned company. AND they are good tires!

Are you just looking for a brand recommendation or size? Hows your budget? You could spend a whole lot or keep it in the budget range.
