Default Melling Oil Pump O-ring question

I have a Melling High Flow Oil pump I am installing on my 2003 Z06. The pump cam with 2 different o-rings, a black and green one. I also have a brand new blue stock o-ring. Would I be ok to use the stock blue o-ring?

All I know is,, The one that you see in that picture is known NOT to seal very well. I know for a fact that the GREEN one worked very well.

Is that because the green ring is a different cross sectional thickness compared to the black or blue rings, or due to a difference in material (ie, silicone vs. buna-n vs. viton)?

I am 95% sure that I used a blue GM ring when I did my H/C/I with Melling pump and I have great oil pressure.....if that helps at all!

Definetly, I was hoping someone who used the blue o-ring would chime in. From everything I searched it looks like it should be fine. Thanks though!
