How do you do a steering wheel alignment if you don't mind me asking... I'm assuming this is different than a wheel alignment?
I throw this code about every 50-60 miles (particularly if colder weather??). I have a steering column sensor I to replace if is is defective but would like to check alignment first. With the telescopic steering wheel I do not look forward to pulling the sensor off... folks on here have stated that the telescopic can be a hassle to deal with.

You can try and do the sensor replacement, but follow the procedure carefully. Many people have made things worse while attempting the repair. The new sensor is clocked to a certain position. Having the wheel cocked or removing the retaining clip on the sensor at the wrong time can make the R&R a failure.
