Can anyone advise me how to remove the hazard flasher button, just the plastic button on the outsied of the dash, not the actual switch. Does it pop off with a small screwdriver ?? I want to try the fix of drilling a small hole at the top of the flasher unit and spraying electrical contact cleaner onto/into the switch without having to remove the console.
Thanks

I do recall reading a thread here where you can access ,although it's not that simple, to remove the radio and reach up into the upper left hand corner to access the Hazard Switch. I think it was also mentioned that small hands make the task easier...
So a search on hazard switch replacement and see what you come up with.
I believe I read you can buy a hyperflash harness and it bypasses/replaces the hazzard flasher. A lot easier, although more expensive, than pulling it. Upside is you can put LED switch backs in then.

Had to replaced mine tonight, turn signals and emergency flashers were working intermittantly. Took out the console and radio but didn't disconnect any of the wiring on the radio, protected it with rags and just let it dangle. It was a piece of cake! Fitting my hand up in the openings took a lot of patience but it was a lot easier than removing the dash pad or spending $350 bucks at the stealership, switch cost me $26.
Good write up and pictures on this link! Corvetteforum comes through again! http://www.kd5fx.com/HSwitch/HSwitch.htm
