Default Leaning out after Fast 92?

So I installed my new fast 92 today. it replaced my fast 78

Started right up no problem idled fine for about a 10 min drive. I come home I unplugged the battery to reset PCM and Then drive to the car to the car wash. Shut car off, wash car, on the way home idle started getting funky go to zero and then to 1k and would repeat this but would not die

so I'm assuming this is my car leaning out after the egt is getting to hot?

the car was tuned a couple years ago @ cartek

thinking of towing it to ecs for another tune ASAP

That's BS, it doesnt matter if you're the original owner or not, they still have the license to the PCM so its not costing them anything but time.

I'd take my business elsewhere.

Sounds like an Idle issue or a vacuum leak. Do an Idle relearn and see if that corrects the idle issue. Check your work and insure that the ducting is all air tight and you do not have any vacuum leaks.

I'm not a TUNER but,,,,, why in the hell would you add ALL those Mods, and ONLY tune in OPEN LOOP??

When the car is in Closed LOOP, I would say, yea its NOT going to be correct. Your only in open loop at cold start up and when your at a throttle angle and load that causes the PCM to trip into open loop. That not very much in normal daily driving..

Hows your "highway" fuel economy????

If closed loop is locked out,, it wont be very good..

Doesn't sound correct to me unless there more to the story that you or I I'm being told. Did they do an SD Tune??? Like I said,, I'm not a tuner but,,,

That is very poor mileage. You were getting this mileage before your intake swap? If so, time for a new, accurate tune and if you planned on seeing ecs you will be fine. Sometimes it is best to redo things that others did when you buy a modded car so you know what you are really dealing with.

To answer your original question, yes it can lean out. You are getting a bit more air into the engine now, with the same amount of fuel. When I went from LS1 to LS6 intake manifold my tune was running on the lean side. The car needed to be re-tuned. Doug will get that thing idling like a champ.
