California is pretty strict on emissions. We usually recommend the 218 cam for peace of mind. The 224 cam is amazing smooth for its duration, but we haven't had enough feedback on emissions testing. If we wanted to make it pass we could, by really tweaking the tuning but there are many factors to have a car pass emissions. I've had a car fail that had bolt-ons and aftermarket cats and a stock motor. It is important for the car to have fresh plugs, new oil and filter, O2's working properly etc.
If you want a clutch and flywheel, just go ahead and buy it, we'll put your name on it and schedule you for an install.
benelliwang,
Give us a call for a complete price. toll free 866-700-4667 Ask for Al.
I can vouch the 218 cam Mike installed idles very well with a very minor lope which I like :D
Car runs like a beast, sounds very
I also backed off the 224 cam for the smog reasons too. I would not chance it.

Do I need a PCM reprogram if I change cams? I have a 98 6 speed that is stock except for the vortex intake &B/B exhaust.
How much would it cost to have the cam installed at your shop? Do you think I should add the Z06 intake at the same time? or Headers?
Many thanks
you can email me at itabankin@aol.com
Didn't Al tell you that we are going to be an MMS authorized dealer within the next couple weeks?
Shawn
Btw, I'm not worried about California emissions at present.

Programming will depend on cam selection. It is always recommended to dyno tune to optimize YOUR combo. There are a lot of variations from car to car. Why don't you give us a call to discuss all the other options. We really like to discuss this before we move forward. Each cam has specific applications and various add on parts will have a varying degree of success.

Shawn,
Yep, I'm excited to have you on board. So when we slapping on heads/cam on your car :D
evil-1,
Is the 02 simulator loaded in your PCM reprogram ?
It can be done. All programs are custom.
Lashtal,
Mike: What would a 229 Cam do for my 2001 Z06? (See sig for mods added in already).
Btw, I'm not worried about California emissions at present.
For max HP you can't go wrong. On avg this cam is worth 45-50RWHP on a car with all the bolt-ons. Coupled with a set of IIx heads 80+ RWHP is not uncommon.
Thank you :D
Many thanks for the great dyno you did as well!
I still need the 3500 TC, when will you have it in?
Al said in a week?
:D
