Hey guys, please just be careful on what you by from where ever, we have seen dozen's of damaged torque tubes over the past few years, when guys were try to save $25-$35 on these couplers...

The units we use here and sell to most of you guys on the forum, are exactly the same as the GM units...We sell hundreds of these every year, with No/NEVER any problems, especially when they have been in some corvettes for now over 5 years...

That part number above is a widely used part number for couplers that are made in China and Taiwan...The units that CC sell are made in China, along with all those that are advertised on Ebay and at any BMW aftermarket shop...

If you buy there's and compare to ours you will see a big difference, not only in the toughness of the rubber but also in the flatness of how they lay on a flat surface...

Even now some that are marked made in Germany are NOT...They must have some specific markings on them to be the Originals...

Thanks again for the orders and all the support from you guys...

We keep these instock at all times, along with our CNC'd Billet Aluminum units...

Good Info! What is your website URL ??????????????

I also found a few BMW parts websites and it seems there are about four versions and the part number given to me was for an automatic and it had holes in. They also offer ones for standard trannys and they look a lot stronger! there were different prices and versions for each type, obviously..chinese, german, etc and priced from $39 to $89 a piece plus shipping

what a mess!

That is interesting Coletrain. I have not beenabe to find any information on GM produced tt bushings. to the best of my knowledge i believe that GM stop selling them all together. The softer ones you recieved were probably the cheap asian ones being sold all over ebay now. My friend even went as far as to contact all of the suppliers and find the country of origin, the Febi/Bilstein bushings were the only ones he was able to find made in germany. They look identical to the originals, same hardness, casting, they even have the arrows showing you where to put the bolts, and stamped made in Germany.

BTW Thanks for the tutorial on clutch replacement! I just got my trans back in easter sunday, very helpful!
