LONG VERSION:
Just bought my 23k miles 02' EB Z06 at the end of February.
Yesterday I was running errands in the Z (turning the car on and off a lot). Several times as soon as I started the car it got "service active handling" and "service vehicle soon". Once, it drove for a few blocks before I got those messages. Once, I didn't get any message by the time I got to my next stop.
I did notice that the steering made a quiet "whirrr" noise at really slow speeds a couple of the times (it could have been doing it all the time and I just wasn't noticing?).
Got home and checked the codes (see above)
I'm reading a thread on Magnasteer and everyone is talking about a diagnostic procedure. I guess I need to buy the factory service manuals to see that?
I'm also reading the Sticky: Important Electrical Information thread... I'll definitely try some connector cleaning but I don't really know which ones!
those are all history codes. clear them and see what comes back.....
Sorry, I should have specified that I went in and cleared all the codes the first time it said "service active handling" and "service vehicle soon". I didn't clear them again but whenever it said "service active......" I hit reset. I don't know if that is enough to make them history codes?
Is your steering exactly centered when traveling strait? Might be as easy as an alignment. The are several post on how to align and adjust/replace the sensor. Good luck...
