Why on earth would the filter design engineers use glue that would dissolve after contact with oil?
I use K&N because it received good reviews from bobistheoilguy and Patman who has had many oil tests done while using that filter, liked the results.
Secondly, the welded-on nut really comes in handy. It is 1-inch flat-to-flat, I believe.
