Default Oil in exhaust pipe

I just installed a new Borla Stinger exhaust on my 99 Vette and after driving 15 miles I noticed a film and light pool of gritty, dirty oil in the exhaust pipe of the left bank. What could be the cause if this other than a bad valve seal or bad piston rings?

it is the grease used in the mandrel bending process it will go away. the inside of the pipe is greased for the mandrel fixture to slide in the pipe this eliminates kinking while bending - not to worry.

I drove behind a buddy's Vette after we installed his Magnaflow system, and the car smoked like crazy until the grease burned off.

Awesome, good to hear. I was concerned mainly due to the fact the engine has over 100,000 miles on it and I thought I heard a knock the other day. I appreciate everyone's input. BTW, I'll get those new muffler bearings pressed in right away!
