heads up display problem
Ive had several issues with the 03 z06 that I just bought and ive been able to resolve almost all of them. However, my hud has been glitching and eventually freezes while driving. It displays 188mph and shows every possible light that comes up on the display. Once it freezes like this it stays that way. Is this a common problem with the hud? Ive tried using the search function for this but my particular problem has not shown up. Thank you in advance for any help

Mine did this. I had to replace it. They don't have any new ones, you need to exchange it for a rebuilt one.
An easy replacement really. I swaped mine from my '02Z to the Vert just to be sure it was the display unit. It was.

Seldomly it will be just fine and not act up at all. But thats very seldom lol. I dont know what it does when the vehicle is off, I never pay attention to it when the car is off. Im at work right now so I couldnt tell you right at the moment.

I hope you have a shop you can trust. Hard to find in todays ECONOMY.

The Heads up display in my 2006 just failed. It started to lose what we once called (on our old TVs) the "Horizontal Hold" - and eventually just showed a green line. Dealership wants just under $700 to replace. Told me it had "shorted out". Any suggestions?
