Default Fuel Filter location

Is there an "in line" fuel filter on my 2004 C5 vert? or just the filter in the gas tank?

Doesn't the 2004 have the same filter that a 2002 does ??
If so, then it doesn't get much more "in-line" than that.
I just changed mine. Takes less than 1/2 hour.

I'm just saying, from looking at the part online, and it says 1999-2004
but I can't say for sure what fits what model, just that
mine is a '02. I'd like to have an '04, or an '06, but I'm happy with my '02.

Cool, so it's in the tank and does not need to be changed until 100K so I have been told

I just looked through my shop manual ('04) and found nothing about changing it...

There's a part number but it's nowhere in the scheduled maintenance.

FWIW

late 2003 and 2004 share the same fuel tanks, FFS, like the C6 with the pump/sender on top

Did that omit the fuel filter located on the frame rail?? I forget

03/04 fuel filter cant be changed period UNLESS you change out the fuel pump since its all together. The filter isn't sold separately. Another POS design by GM.
Here is .pdf file of the FFS system configuration/parts.
