Will a dead battery have enough power to at least pop the trunk?
If not will one of those 9 volt Computer Memory Savers provide enough power to pop the trunk.
My interest is to gain access to the trunk to get to my Jump Starter.
I have a trunk partition so I cannot gain access from inside the car.
I seriously doubt it. You have to power up the BCM module and that most likely will be all the battery will do. That trunk open solenoid will draw a good bit of current on its own.
If it were me, I would just jump the battery with jumper cables and that will get you in the trunk/
