Cam identification
Hey Guys,
First post but I've been lurking for a little while now. I just picked up an '02 Z06. The car has some basic bolt ons (intake, Borla stingers) but looks predominantly stock. I noticed that at idle, the car has a real mild shake to it, almost as if it had a mild cam in it. There are no codes in the cluster and the car runs strong. Just trying to see if anyone knew of a way to identify the cam without having to pull the whole car apart. The PO didnt mention to me about having a cam installed but he was not the original owner. The harmonic balancer was also just replaced. I had a corvette shop near me check the car out today and they mentioned that it feels like there's a mild cam in it but didn't elaborate much further than that. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

There is a mild cam in it. Its called an LS6 cam. The slight shake you are realizing is normal and its what the factory LS6 cam feels like. Ive owned 2 02Z's and thats just how they are.
