Bad Ballast - need replacement
had a HID out today and took everything apart and found the ballast to be the problem.
Simple solution order a new ballast NOT. I cannot find the Philips XLD 912 ballast since it is discontinued.
So does anyone know of a replacement ballast that will work?
thanks
Bob

Just a FYI for anyone else looking the 912 was replaced by XLD 988. The supplier of the ACAs tell me these will be replaced soon also.

Not sure about your situation, but I have found that more often then not the new part will have different connectors. I think it is a conspiracy to get you to buy a whole new kit.

I was told back in 2011 that the XLD988 replaced it. I Googled XLD988, and still found some for sale.
I can't guarantee it will work;that's just what I was told by the company that took over the ACA production. I'd check your connections and compare.

FYI I decided to upgrade so now I have a spare (used) XLD 912 if you run across anyone who needs one. Thanks for your help.
